These are cottage style units, with some overlooking the ocean. All with air- conditioning and ceiling fan, ensuite bath and shower, twin beds (or Queen size on request) and mosquito net, hairdryer, telephone, digital safe and patio or terrace. Turtle Bay Beach Resort Watamu 14 rooms on the beach front, all with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, bath and shower, double and single bed, a complete mosquito proof sleeping area, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, digital safe, balconies and patio with direct beach access. 2 Junior Sea – View Suites

This are the highest room category at Turtle Bay Beach Resort Watamu. They have a Lounge and bedroom with split unit air – conditioning, Lamu bed with mosquito net, hairdryer, telephone, personalised fridge, digital safe and coffee and tea making facilities. Separate shower and bath suitable for two adults. Baby cots are available. TV and WiFi in the room

From a quick poolside breakfast to romantic candlelit dinners at the beachside Blue Turtle restaurant, Turtle Bay Watamu offers a variety of dining options. Fresh pancakes are made every afternoon and oven-baked pizzas at the pizza garden will satisfy you after a day of activities. A buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant, as well as lunch and dinner at the pizzeria, are included with your stay. Refreshing cocktails, house wine, and local beers will satisfy your thirst after a day in the sun.

•  Full lunch is offered at the Snack Bar at the poolside in buffet style and also snacks from 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.
•  The Blue Turtle restaurant next to the beach is regularly utilised in the evenings as a waiter service area. Guests need to book in advance for this area. A la carte menu at an extra charge and also run for special occasions (weddings, etc).
•  The Pizza Garden is overlooking tropical water ponds offers a variety of oven fresh pizzas and other meals for lunch and evening, extra charge for seafood toppings.

DRESSCODE
We believe part of our success at Turtle Bay is informality. T-shirts, Vest, cut-off shorts, and swimwear with a wrap are accepted during the day, but we do not allow any of these during the night in our restaurants. Smart tailored shorts, trousers, slacks, short-sleeved shirts, polo shirts, skirts, dresses, shoes or sandals are accepted. The dresscode for the Blue Turtle Restaurant is strictly smart shirts, trousers, and dresses. Shorts and sandals are not accepted in the Blue Turtle in the evening. For hygiene reasons we discourage the use of towels as wrap during lunch.

Pool Bar at Turtle Bay Watamu – Opens at 10 am and closes at 12.30 am. A popular area during day and evening time.

Weaver’s Nest Bar at Turtle Bay Watamu– Next to the Pizza Garden is in a quieter location. Opens from 11 am – 2 pm and 6 pm – 11 pm.

Canoe Bar at Turtle Bay Watamu– Right on the beach where you can enjoy branded drinks at an extra
charge. Opens from 10 am – 12.30 am.

Turtle Bay Watamu Activities

Take your complimentary paddle skis or boogie boards down to the clear waters of the Indian Ocean or let one of their in-house water sports guides take you out on a fun boat excursion. Children will love the all-inclusive activities in Turtle Bay Watamu where they can broaden their imaginations in the Kids Fort by the pool, play beach games and learn arts and crafts. Immerse yourself in local culture as you watch traditional dancers or get out on the dance floor right on the beach with live local bands. Quiz nights and acrobats round out the fun at the hotel while offsite scuba diving and deep-sea fishing offer local enjoyment.

Group tuition is available for windsurfing boards. The windsurfing school with ordinary windsurf boards for beginners and average windsurfers is managed by a qualified English – German speaking instructor. The advanced and latest under 3 metres equipment is also available at an extra charge. Fun Catamarans are available at the watersport centre. The guests can take a course and a sailing certificate will be issued to them (contact watersports for prices), this will allow the guest to take the boat out for maximum ½ hour a day whenever they like for the rest of their stay. Or another option will be one of the watersports supervisors take the guests on a 1 hour sailing trip through Turtle Lagoon at extra cost (contact watersports for courses and prices).

KIDS CLUB

The hotel includes a fully supervised Kids Club for 4 –12 year olds, open 10.00 a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 3.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m. daily and Tarzan’s Tree House, a playground set in our tropical gardens and a kid’s fort by the swimming pool. Parents can enjoy their holiday while we take care of their children. The Kids Club offers cartoons films, games, and field trips. (Baby sitting service on request and extra cost).
