The Best Beaches in Kilifi

Kilifi boasts some of Kenya’s most beautiful beaches, many of which remain peaceful even during peak holiday periods. The coastline is characterised by soft white sand, swaying coconut palms, clear Indian Ocean waters, and spectacular sunrises.

Bofa Beach

Bofa Beach is undoubtedly Kilifi’s best-known beach. Stretching for several kilometres, this beautiful shoreline offers powder-soft white sand and calm, inviting waters ideal for swimming and relaxing. Beach walks at sunrise or sunset are particularly memorable, while the wide open shoreline provides plenty of space even during busy holiday periods.

Kuruwitu Beach

South of Kilifi lies Kuruwitu Beach, one of Kenya’s best-kept coastal secrets. The beach is internationally recognised for the Kuruwitu Marine Protected Area, East Africa’s first community-managed marine conservation project.

Kilifi Creek

Few destinations in Kenya are as closely associated with a tidal creek as Kilifi. Kilifi Creek forms the heart of the town and provides calm waters for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding, sailing, fishing, and sunset dhow cruises.

Mnarani Beach

Near the historic Mnarani Ruins, visitors will find another peaceful stretch of coastline where the Indian Ocean meets Kilifi Creek. The area is ideal for scenic walks, photography, and learning about Kilifi’s fascinating Swahili heritage.

At The Holiday Dealers, we go beyond bookings to create complete coastal experiences.
