Entim Camp was designed with a purpose in mind; to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara game reserve. For a few months of the year, the migration is on our doorstep on the Mara River.
While many other visitors to the Mara will be staying in camps in the surrounding areas and conservancies, at Entim Mara Tented Camp you don’t have to drive for hours to get to the wildlife action because you are right there in the middle of it. Nor do you have to be hurried out of the Reserve before gates close at 6.30 pm: at Entim you can continue to witness the wild’s most important and dramatic events, which often take place at dusk and dawn. There’s actually no obligation to go out on game drives because you can sit in camp and watch the animals passing by right in front of you.

By Road: From Nairobi it takes take approximately 5 hours to get to Entim Mara
By Air: Entim Mara Camp is accessible via twice-daily air transfer on Air Kenya or Safarilink from Nairobi Wilson Airport and one daily flight from Mombasa. Client flying in to Entim on the Entim Flying Package alight at at Ol Kiombo Airstrip 7.0 KM from the hotel.

All 10 guest tents at Entim Mara Camp overlook the Mara River and are well-placed, en-suite with flush-toilets and hot showers. There is nothing that epitomises the Masai Mara experience more than floating over the golden savanna dotted with animals in a hot air balloon. It’s truly a bucket list experience and we advise you to book this excursion at the same time as your accommodation to ensure a place.
You will never realise how different Maasai life is from your own until you visit a Maasai village. As the village lies outside the National Reserve an hour from camp, your game drive is en-route to the village. Bring cash as the ladies display all sorts of crafts for sale, including colourful ethnic beadwork. Ask your guide about protocols of taking photographs.

Sundowner Hill is about 15 minutes’ drive from Entim Camp and it’s our favourite place to stop for drinks and snacks to watch the sun go down. Admire the 360 degree views of big sky savanna that epitomises the Masai Mara and captures the heart of everyone who comes here. Since Entim Mara Camp is conveniently located nearby, there’s no hurry to finish your drinks before sunset, unlike other lodges that have to dash back or face a fine. As the daylight fades and no-one else is around, it feels like the Masai Mara is our own private wilderness.
